Life around your learning
Use the official student-life and campus-visit pages to investigate clubs, facilities and how academic life is organised. An in-person visit can help you test travel time and ask programme-specific questions.
Three questions to take with you
- Can I see the facilities used by my department?
- How are hostel allocation and commuting managed?
- What do students do between scheduled classes?
Look at a normal week
Ask about a typical timetable, the time spent studying independently and the practical arrangements for support. A festival, promotional video or selected review shows only one part of college life. Talk through the routine that would apply to your course.
Keep social activities, accommodation and academic access as separate questions. Check availability and conditions directly; a facility being pictured does not establish that every student can use it at any time.
