Life around your learning
Investigate the specific college’s societies, library, travel route and accommodation rules. A university-wide description cannot establish the facilities or hostel availability at every college.
Three questions to take with you
- What does the college offer for my exact subjects?
- What is my realistic daily commute?
- How do college societies recruit new students?
Look at a normal week
Ask about a typical timetable, the time spent studying independently and the practical arrangements for support. A festival, promotional video or selected review shows only one part of college life. Talk through the routine that would apply to your course.
Keep social activities, accommodation and academic access as separate questions. Check availability and conditions directly; a facility being pictured does not establish that every student can use it at any time.
